Wai Atua Trust is committed to the formation of servant leaders, based on the example of Jesus Christ in the Gospels, through a servant leadership framework called Ngā Pou Amorangi. Ngā Pou Amorangi learning opens space for followers of Jesus to fully explore what it means to serve in an Aotearoa / New Zealand context.

Ngā Pou Amorangi leadership framework is designed to equip people for service in God's world.

Our wānanga provide two learning opportunities; understand local environments, context and to practice servant leadership.

Leadership is to be applied, Ngā Pou Amorangi ako have the opportunity to apply their learning, in service to their respective communities.
Ngā Pou Amorangi study calendar is based on and around Māramataka Māori. The following are the key dates for 2026-2027.

Ngā Pou Amorangi has three study options to choose from, our main program is the "All Year Option"

This option is for those that want to attend Ngā Pou Amorangi wānanga / noho marae. This includes attending 2 wānanga over 2 days, (excludes travel cost)

This option is for those that want to engage in the program for the 2026-2027 study year.
This includes regular zoom and or in person leadership formation, wānanga / noho, and praxis support in student's summer community service.

This option is for those are seeking to go deeper into their development through our Kanohi ki te Kanohi (One on One) program. This includes a personised formation plan for your working context, attendance at wānanga / noho marae, and 15 sessions of coaching/supervision/reflection on leadership praxis. LIMITED to 6 people per coach.
Ngā Pou Amorangi is a non NZQA program with an aim to create servant leadership.
