At Wai Atua Charitable Trust, we are dedicated to promoting love, respect, and honour for God, people, and the environment. Rooted in Te Ao Māori values, our mission is to meet the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, environmental, and educational needs of our community.
Our Story
Wai Atua Charitable Trust was established to serve the people of Te Tai Tokerau and beyond. We aim to inspire individuals to reach their full potential as God created them to be, blending Māori customs with faith-based initiatives.
Our Mission
- Ko te Atua te Kaihanga o ngā mea katoa (God is the creator of all things). To promote, protect and encourage love, respect, and honour for God, people and the environment.
- Building resilient whānau, hapū, and iwi through culturally informed programs.
- Revitalizing and supporting communities with a focus on leadership formation & education (Wānanga), Mahinga Kai (Māra Kai) and cultural stories & heritage.
